- The Fast-Fix system allows the grinding pad A to be replaced without tools. Set the system (1.1) to the right for the Rotex rotational movement. For example, press spindle stop (1,6). C. Unscrew the built-in sanding pad from the spindle (right-hand thread). D. Hold down the spindle stop and screw the new sanding pad all the way to the stop (until it can no longer rotate). Make sure that the rubber collar (3.1) is correctly fitted during this process. D. Release the spindle stop.

I have used this item successfully. It appears to perform well as advertised. In my judgement, this product will stand up over regular usage. However, based on the original item that failed, in time this item will fail (or wear out) also. The foam center which is required to flex when in use, will eventually wear out and brake down. I give 4-stars based on the high cost of this item, otherwise I’d say 5-stars.

I did an Amazon search for “Festool ets 150 pad soft” and this item came up as the “Amazon’s” Choice”. However, this pad does not mount with a bolt through center hole. Shipping was super fast from Hartville Hardware. Make sure you select pad with correct mounting.
