I bought this because I don’t have an ice maker in my refrigerator and was tired of buying ice. I’ve had it for about a week and so far so good. It makes plenty of ice for one person, though I don’t know if it would be sufficient for a household of several people. You have to empty the ice basket into the freezer when it’s full because the icemaker does not keep the ice frozen. It’s just a minor inconvenience. I don’t run it all the time. I turn it off, drain the water, and leave it off until my freezer ice gets low. So far I’m very happy with it.

Unit works quickly and puts out beautiful ice, especially nice if you like to eat ice. Unit is a little loud, but that is to be expected. Set it up and run for a few sessions to get rid of the “new, plastic smell”.
