Mounted under a Rockler routing table. Had to drill my own hole in the table for the adjusting rod, but that was expected and not a Triton issue. This router is a powerhouse! If you want to mount it on a router table the is a spring that will need to be removed. I know it’s counter intuitive for most of us men…. But READ THE MANUAL!! You’ll be sorry if you don’t. This is an expensive router to mess up!

I bought one of these for my router table and it has been a total joy to use. Bits are easy to change and elevation changes are quick and accurate. I ran a second dust hose for the opening in the Plexiglas shield and dust collection is now perfect.
I love the router so much that I bought a second one to use for hand held routing. That is where I am having problems. I encountered the plunge binding – which is common to plunge routers – but solved that with some spray dry lube. But it is very tricky to release the router head to start the plunge (while also turning the switch on) …. so far I have just used it for edging.
While I like the large hole in the base for bigger bits, it becomes a safety hazard when routing to a corner. They really should offer multiple base plates.
I think the Triton set of bushings is too expensive and poorly made. The industry already has 2 styles of bushings. Please make an adapter for PC bushings or Bosch bushings and be done with it.
One last thing::: The fence has no fine adjustment.

I bought this because I tore up a bunch of cedar from my 100+ year old house and turned it into shiplap for some ceilings. I love this tool. It took some getting used to but now I find excuses to use this over my Dewalt and Makita routers. My only complaint is that the on/off switch is clumsy, but this router is designed to go in a table and I use it primarily free-hand. The switch makes sense when it’s in a table. It brought some fun back into my projects and I’m truly sad when I finish cutting and have to put it away.

I got this router for a table I built. It works great and is easy to adjust.

Bought this router for use with a router table. The main draw was the crank-operated lift mechanism, which works very well. The router is well designed for free and guided use too, though I have not taken advantage of this range. The only con I have encountered is the switch, which is over designed and difficult to use, especially when mounted under the table. The safety interlock works well to prevent tool startup during bit or collet changes (of course I unplug before doing this task anyway). But it is difficult to a) reach the switch under the table, b) pull back the plastic switch door, and c) move the rocker to the ON position. It is necessary to strongly press the small rocker to get it to remain in the ON position. I have also read about the power remaining on after the operator thinks he has turned the switch to OFF, but not experienced this myself. A well designed product except for this quirky feature.
